Rotana expands in Egypt with Palma Bay resort opening in North Coast – Dailynewsegypt
Rotana, a leading hotel management company in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Türkiye (MENAT), has announced the opening of Palma Bay Rotana in New Alamein, Egypt. The resort represents Rotana’s second property in Egypt, following the Grand Rotana Resort & Spa in Sharm El Sheikh. With a total investment exceeding EGP 1.5bn by Al Marasem International for Development, Palma Bay Rotana adds 702 keys to Rotana’s footprint in the country.

The resort spans 18,000 sqm and features 176 appointed rooms, ranging from cosy standard rooms to expansive suites. Amenities include a health and fitness centre, massage rooms, three outdoor swimming pools (including a children’s pool), and a private beach with crystal-clear waters and soft white sands. Additionally, guests can enjoy a fully equipped gym, padel and tennis courts, beach volleyball, and a multipurpose court for football and volleyball. Families will appreciate the dedicated kids’ playground.
The resort also offers the Mirage, a multi-purpose meeting room accommodating up to 30 guests, equipped with advanced audiovisual technologies and natural lighting—an ideal venue for business meetings, special occasions, or social events.
Rotana currently operates 77 hotels across MENAT, serving over six million guests annually. The company’s pipeline includes 9,830 keys across six brands, including 40 international hotels and seven new properties in the UAE.
