Egyptian medical convoy provides dental care for 154 Palestinian patients in North Sinai
Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population announced that a specialized medical convoy continues to operate across Sheikh Zuweid Central Hospital, Arish General Hospital, and Bir al-Abd Model Hospital, offering essential dental care to injured Palestinian patients and their companions.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the ministry’s official spokesperson, stated that the convoy consists of an elite team of dental specialists, led by Dr. Medhat Manji, a renowned dental expert from the United States, alongside Walid Hassan, Shaheen Hisham, Ahmed Ali Hassan, and Ahmed Fikry Abdel Qader. He emphasized that the medical team is leveraging its expertise to deliver high-quality treatment services to Palestinian patients.
Over two days, the convoy provided comprehensive dental services, including examinations, gum treatment, fillings, routine and surgical extractions, and drug therapy. A total of 154 patients received treatment, with 66 cases at Arish General Hospital, 69 at Sheikh Zuweid Central Hospital, and 19 at Bir al-Abd Model Hospital.
Abdel Ghaffar highlighted that this initiative is part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian health sector, reaffirming Egypt’s leadership in humanitarian and healthcare support at both regional and international levels.
