L’Oréal Egypt’s 10th summit draws over 800 experts, focuses on dermatology

L’Oréal Egypt, a leading force in beauty, science, and innovation, launched the 10th edition of its pioneering “Skin & Hair Summit 2025.” The annual summit has become a flagship platform for scientific dialogue and knowledge exchange, bringing together top dermatologists, trichologists, and industry experts to explore the latest innovations, research, and advancements shaping the future of skin and hair health. Over the past decade, the summit has evolved into a landmark event — not only in Egypt but also across the MENA region — reinforcing L’Oréal’s commitment to advancing dermatological science and empowering the medical community.

The Skin and Hair Summit was first launched in 2016, with 250 dermatology experts in attendance. Since its inception, the conference has cemented its position as a leading platform for presenting the most recent research updates and fostering knowledge exchange between international experts and dermatologists. This year marked a significant milestone, bringing together more than 800 participants, including dermatologists, experts, and pharmacists from leading Egyptian universities and medical institutions, alongside a distinguished lineup of global speakers. The event was also attended by Sandrine Japhet-Sibboni, General Manager of L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty Egypt, and Mohamed El Araby, Managing Director of L’Oréal Egypt.

Commemorating 13 years of the Dermatological Beauty Division’s presence in Egypt and celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Skin and Hair Summit, it has exemplified its profound commitment to three core pillars: Science, Empowerment and Education, and Social Impact. This commitment was clearly reflected in the summit’s activities, including its workshops and discussion panels with complementary programs featured in the third edition of the “E-Derms” academy, to enhance the capabilities of dermatologists in creating responsible medical content across key digital platforms. The events also witnessed strong engagement with retailers and pharmacists, with a focus on linking sustainability, enhancing consumer experience, and developing complementary therapeutic education.

On the sidelines of the summit, L’Oréal Egypt held a press roundtable to discuss its contribution to the development of the beauty sector, its role in bringing global expertise to the Egyptian market, and its efforts to promote scientific research and innovation in Egypt. During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was re-announced between L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty and Egypt’s Healthcare Authority, aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of dermatological care nationwide — reinforcing L’Oréal’s strategic role as a key driver of national progress in skin health.

The summit also featured the announcement of launching a specialized dermatology and oncology unit at Baheya Foundation, established as part of a collaborative partnership with La Roche-Posay under the “Fight With Care” program, led by Professor Dr. Rehab Hegazy. This initiative represents a pivotal step toward providing comprehensive and compassionate support for cancer patients throughout their treatment journey.

Mohamed El Araby, Managing Director of L’Oréal Egypt, stated, “Our purpose at L’Oréal is sharp: ‘Create the Beauty that Moves the World.’ This vision is driven by our leadership, scientific innovative thinking, and a deep commitment to creating a positive social impact. While Beauty Tech accelerates our global efforts to transform the future of beauty and health, here in Egypt, that spirit is demonstrated clearly at our 10th Skin & Hair Summit. This event represents both a responsibility and a great opportunity to empower the dermo-medical community, advance skin health, and continue driving tangible, positive change for patients, society and the beauty industry.”

Since then, science has remained at the heart of our model. At L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty, we lead with evidence-based innovation—from pioneering research and rigorous clinical trials to working hand-in-hand with healthcare professionals worldwide and locally. Our commitment to Egypt translates this legacy into action: making advanced dermatological solutions more accessible, supporting specialized oncology and dermatology care, and equipping physicians with the tools they need, through landmark partnerships.”

The event maintains its accredited status (CME) with the American Academy of Continuous Medical Education (AACME), ensuring attending dermatologists gain essential CME hours while engaging with the latest skin and hair health advances, reaffirming the division’s commitment to world-class continuous learning and underscoring L’Oréal’s long-standing dedication to advancing dermatological care in Egypt and the region.
