Komatsu introduces the first model in its Power Agnostic truck series
Komatsu, a multinational manufacturer of construction, mining, forestry and military equipment, has launched the Power Agnostic 930E, its first commercialized truck in the new Power Agnostic series.
The haulage truck is designed for mining operations and accommodates diesel, battery and hydrogen fuel cell power sources.
Built on the company’s modular power-agnostic platform, the 930E allows mining companies to start with conventional diesel engines and then transition to cleaner energy sources, including the use of trolley assist for diesel or as one of the future dynamic charging solutions for battery trucks.
“This truck will provide customers operational flexibility in reaching their sustainability goals when the opportunity is right for them,” said Dan Funcannon, Senior VP of Surface Haulage for Komatsu.
