Hurghada City Tour (private)

Hurghada City Tour (private)

€19 / per person
(1 Review)

Overview:

Hurghada stretches along the coast for about 40km and is divided into 4 districts. In the north is El Dahar, the oldest part of the city (also known as downtown).

South of Dahar is Sekalla (or Is-Siqalla). This part of the city is very touristy and is essentially defined by Sheraton Street, which runs parallel to the sea to the south and on the sea side of which there are a number of smaller hotel complexes.

Sekalla starts at Sekalla Square or harbor and extends south to the beginning of the “real” hotel zone with the large 5* facilities.

Along Sheraton Road there is an uncountable amount of stores, restaurants and coffee shops.Hurghada newest attraction is the El Mina Mosque next to the Hurghada Marina. It was completed in 2012 and is a fine example of modern Arabic architecture. The two minarets tower high above Hurghada.

Visitors are welcome outside of prayer times. Women can borrow a galabeya with cloth at the entrance to cover their hair, arms and legs.

Next to the mosque is the fishing harbor with fish market, which is also worth a visit. Here the freshly caught fish from the Red Sea is sold
